Released at the end of January, LEGO Marvel's Avengers was one of February's top selling games, proving that the LEGO brand of games is alive and well. This new Civil War Character Pack should give some fans a reason to check out LEGO Marvel's Avengers either again or for the first time. Traveller's Tales has been mum on details of the new level, but it will be based on the movie set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not on the comic books. However that DLC promises to also bring a new level along with the additional characters.

Similar to the Civil War Character Pack, the Ant-Man pack is set to feature new characters including Hank Pym and Scott Lang, as well as Ant-Thony, the flying ant from the film, along with various other characters from the movie. There's another DLC pack coming for free to PlayStation 3 and 4 in the future as well based on the Marvel movie Ant-Man. LEGO Marvel's Avengers developer Traveller's Tales could offer it in the future as paid DLC, but nothing has been announced. It isn't clear whether this DLC, which is free for all PlayStation 3 and 4 users who own the game, will ever come to PlayStation Vita, Xbox, Nintendo, or PC platforms. Missing from the lineup is Spider-Man, who just made his first big-screen debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the latest trailer released for Captain America: Civil War earlier this week. This free download is also the console debut of Black Panther and Crossbones, as they have yet to appear in any console video game.
